SCBOS Managing Director
Job Purpose
The South Carolina Business One Stop (SCBOS) Managing Director carries out the SCBOS mission and supervises the SCBOS team. The SCBOS Managing Director serves as the liaison with Partner Agencies to ensure information about starting, running, expanding, and relocating a business is readily available, and that news relevant to the South Carolina business community is proactively shared. Ensuring the SCBOS website and Help Desk are easily accessible and knowledgeable, the SCBOS Managing Director works to save businesses time in complying with State requirements.
Job Duties:
- Communication:
- Oversee communications, media relations, marketing, advertising, and public relations function of SCBOS
- Maintain the SCBOS website to ensure information is relevant and up-to-date
- Oversee the use of SCBOS social media channels to inform, educate, and inspire current and potential South Carolina business owners
- Review social media and website analytics to ensure content is meaningful, effective, and reaching target markets
- Identify strategies for optimizing online reach and engagement
- Supervisor Functions:
- Provide day-to-day oversight, decision making, and problem solving with operations and staff
- Supervise, plan, direct, and coordinate the overall functions and training of the SCBOS team
- Delegate responsibilities and supervises the work of SCBOS team, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Partner Outreach:
- Partner with South Carolina state agencies, business-related organizations, and leaders in South Carolina's business community to share news, information, and to stay up to date on the needs of the South Carolina business community
- Build new partnerships to ensure the reach of SCBOS continues to grow and meet the changing needs of the business environment
- Enhancing Customer Experience:
- Evaluate and analyze the functions and procedures related to SCBOS chat, phone, and email assistance to identify and define process improvements to enhance customer experience
- Review website analytics and stay informed of best practices to ensure the information on the website is useful and easy to find
- Identify and implement website functionality improvements with the assistance of web developers to ensure a positive user experience
- Special Projects:
- Coordinate assigned special projects, lead or serve on project teams, and evaluate related data
