DIRECTOR OF FEDERAL PROGRAMS

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate an appropriate instructional program and services to support students, parents, instructors and administrators in Title I, II, III , Reading Recovery and ESL programs throughout the district, including but not limited to:
· Coordinate, articulate, write and submit the ESEA consolidated application and make revisions and amendments to the projects
· Coordinate the activities and prepare and submit necessary reports of all components of ESEA Title I projects: reading, mathematics, parent engagement, auxiliary services, intergroup relations, staff development, and Titles II and III
· Plan and monitor the budget for Reading Recovery, Literacy and ESL programs
· Direct, supervise and conduct formal and informal observations of Reading Recovery teacher leaders, ESL, Reading Recovery and Literacy teachers, and provide principals with feedback on the effectiveness of program implementation and recommend areas for improvement 
· Monitor, collect and analyze data, evaluate, and prepare and deliver a report regarding the effectiveness of Reading Recovery, Literacy and ESL programs to ensure that instruction is appropriate to achieve district wide goals

Certification / Requirements:

 Type "A" or Level II Louisiana teaching certification
· Certification as a Parish or City School Supervisor  
· Educational Leader Level 1 or higher 
· Five (5) years teaching experience -AND/OR
· Administrative supervisory experience
· Leadership experience PREFERRED
· Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
