Under limited supervision, the person in this position will plan, coordinate and perform advanced technical duties in solid waste field activities to detect, evaluate, abate, and control environmental quality. Oversee compliance programs in the Solid Waste Compliance Section. Coordinate inspections of solid waste management facilities to ensure consistency in compliance and enforcement of the Solid Waste Policy and Management Act and state solid waste management regulations. Conduct training for solid waste inspectors in the field and in classroom settings. Coordinate and conduct compliance reviews of permitted solid waste management facilities. Process and issue used oil transporter registrations.
