Caterpillar has opportunities within IT in many different areas. Below are some details of the positions within the organization.
Application Support& Development - In Application Development, you will be assigned to a team developing and supporting IT applications that are used globally by internal and external process partners. Our applications are both purchased and in-house developed, within a complex environment integrated across the functional areas of our company.
IT Security - Here you will test and monitor information security controls, analyze IT security incidents, and manage security system updates, software installations, user management, malware, and threat intelligence.
Cloud Technologies- Caterpillar is aggressively pursuing public cloud computing with multiple cloud-based platforms. Jobs in this space include cloud platform as a service application development, cloud solution architecture, cloud security operations, cloud solution engineering, and the delivery of global public cloud capabilities.
End User Services- This role will help implement the technical solution for our customer. Being able to understand the customers needs and relaying that information to the technical team is very critical to insuring our customers are 100% satisfied.

Required Qualifications:
*Currently attending a 4-year accredited university/college or have completed a minimum Bachelor’s degree in an IT degree related program or sequence
*Minimum cumulative GPA requirement 2.8 (no rounding)
*Graduation date between May 2020 through May 2021
Top candidates will also have:
*Proficiency in any of the computer software applications or programming languages or technologies Examples include: Java, JavaScript, SQL, Db2, .NET, C, C++, C#, User Experience, HTML, AWS and Azure
* Linux Red Hat OS knowledge, Vmware, Shell Scripting, Python
*Leadership experience
*Previous internship in Information Technology
*Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills
*Strong problem solving and customer service skills
*Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed
*Ability to work independently and manage time as well as being a collaborative team member
*Able to manage own duties including setting priorities
*Familiar with company policies and procedures
