Director of Human Resources

POSITION TITLE:   Director, Human Resources
REPORTS TO:      Superintendent
SUPERVISES:      Human Resources Office Staff
COORDINATES WITH: Assistant Superintendent, Chief Operating Officer, Directors, Supervisors, Principals and Board of Education
WORK YEAR: 12 months

The Director of Human Resources provides leadership in planning and carrying out policies relating to all phases of personnel activity. Provides leadership for the administering of wages, benefits, and other conditions of employment, the conducting of investigations related to personal matters and related to harassment and discrimination, the maintenance of complete personnel files and up-to-date descriptions of all employee classifications, and for the management of the District’s hiring process for all employees including substitutes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Personnel Administration, Labor Relations or related field with a minimum of five years experience in personnel administration  and labor relations.  Demonstrates capabilities in planning , organizations and oral and written communications. Knowledge of labor and public sector law and familiarity in collective bargaining agreements.
