Advanced Auditor
This position designs and implements the audit programs used to monitor financial integrity of grant/contract performance for over $40 million in program grants/contracts with organizations such as small and large private businesses, local government and non-profit organizations. This includes the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program providers. The position must plan the theory and scope of the audit; determine the accounting and/or auditing procedures to be used, including statistical sampling and the use of electronics and evaluate a system's effectiveness through the application of knowledge of business systems, including financial operations.
This position independently leads reviews and/or review teams to perform operational and financial audits of agencies with grants/contracts, working with a variety of local accounting systems. The position prepares formal written reports on review results, expresses opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the financial system, evaluates the efficiency with which activities are carried out, reviews compliance with laws and regulations, and appraises the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions.
