Bike MS Development & Engagement Summer Intern
**MUST BE TAKING INTERNSHIP FOR ACADEMIC CREDIT**
This role will focus on supporting Bike MS: Wyoming. The intern will work closely with the following areas with potential for additional opportunities:
· Volunteer Engagement
· Development & Fundraising
Intern(s) will assist in researching organizations for volunteer recruitment, and provide support for development and fundraising. Intern(s) will gain invaluable project management experience, mentoring, and insight into non-profit administration.
Learning Objectives
- Effectively communicate and facilitate meaningful opportunities across functions resulting in cultivation of Society constituents
- Learn strategies to increase participant engagement through cultivation, recruitment and fundraising activities
- Acquire experience in event management involving large groups of participants and volunteers
Specific Areas of Responsibilities
Volunteer Engagement (50%)
- Support all volunteer engagement initiatives for Bike MS Colorado and Walk MS events including recruitment, engagement, recognition and tracking of volunteers pre and post event
- Ensure risk management requirements are met for all volunteers in partnership with staff member
Development & Fundraising (50%)
- Maintain and manage donor relationships through data organization, phone calls, etc.
- Manage in-kind donation requests through outreach and tracking
