Emergency & Critical Care Assistant (PETS)

The UF Pet Emergency Treatment Services (PETS) facility is a satellite clinic in Ocala and operates in tandem with the Emergency & Critical Care Service at the UF Small Animal Hospital in Gainesville. The clinic is AAHA accredited and VECCS Level III certified. PETS attends to over 6,000 patients yearly and is equipped to handle any type of emergency, but also have the assistance of the main emergency services in Gainesville if needed. The facility is open weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Our goal is to provide a caring, compassionate environment for critically ill pets of Marion County and their families.
 
Primary duties of the assistants will include supporting the veterinary technicians and clinicians with triaging and providing care to critically ill patients. The assistants will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the area and equipment, maintaining the inventory and stock of supplies, answering phone calls, and checking-in and out clients.
