GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the general supervision of an employee of a higher classification, performs professional work in the operation of employment and training programs designed to increase the employability of currently unemployed individuals. Work involves performing a variety of relatively complex duties concerned with determining eligibility and enrollment of applicants (youth and adults); negotiating job training contracts; diagnostic employment counseling for participants; analyzing results of complex employability assessment instruments; and monitoring activities of sub-recipients under contract with program of assignment. Supervision may be exercised over clerical personnel, volunteer workers, or special contract employees. Performs other work as requested.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in social science, public or business administration or a related field.
