Responsibilities:
Provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for guidance services that assist students, including but not limited to:
·Utilize school and student data to identify needs and help students plan for their future in academics, career choice and personal/social development
·Provide students with opportunity to engage with the school counseling curriculum to acquire knowledge, attitudes and skills to enhance their academic, career and personal/social development
·Utilize data to advocate for systematic change to reduce barriers to student learning
·Create support services with administrators and provide relevant professional development to staff regarding the counseling program
·Counsel individual and small groups of students with identified needs and concerns 
·Develop, communicate and implement an efficient referral process for students

Certification / Requirements:
· Master's Degree
· Must be Louisiana Certified; Type A, B, or C; Level 1, 2, or 3 or Ancillary as a School Counselor
· Experience as a middle school counselor preferred
· Ability to maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders

Salary:
Starting at $47,810.40 (Master's degree) Potential annual salary increases are based on successful performance up to a final salary of $66,346.30 (Master's degree)
