Software Developer Analyst

Valencia College is now hiring a Software Developer Analyst to join Valencia College Enterprise Application Services Team, responsible for the development, maintenance, and on-going support of the College's core enterprise application systems and other custom and third-party applications.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  •  Software Development knowledge in on or more of the following (preferred):
  1. JavaScript (JQuery, JSON, AJAX, CSS, HTML5), XML.
  2. SQL and PL/SQL programming in an Oracle environment: stored objects (procedures, packages, functions and database triggers).
  3. PHP, Perl, ColdFusion, or other web application programming languages.
  4. Restful APIs and other web services.
  • Knowledge or applied skills in the following areas (preferred):
  1. Ellucian Banner Extensibility tools, Groovy & Grails, Hibernate, Spring, and/or JAVA, XML
  2. Database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle APEX and web development tools and frameworks.
  3. Source control systems such as git and svn and web server application administration and configuration
  4. HTML and CSS
  5. Experience implementing project management and change management methodologies (preferred)

Salary: $47,722 to $57,863
