Civil Engineering Technician (Forestry Program)
Responsibilities
- This position works under the lead engineer providing engineering services needed to meet Field Office objectives.Assists in establishing road locations, surveying, road inspections and contract administration.Participates as an interdisciplinary team member providing technical input to a wide variety of programs such as timber, right-of-ways, recreation, fisheries and roads.Preparing contract stipulations, exhibits and cost estimates, conducting and documenting pre-work conferences, performing on-site inspections and tests for contract payments.Preparing NEPA documentation and responding to requests for construction and terms and conditions of use and gathering assessment data.
