IgniteNextGen Professional Summer Fellowship Program

The Ignite NextGen Summer Fellowship program is a six-week leadership virtual training program designed to prepare young leaders ("college student, recent graduate, and young professional" range) to focus on developing key skills and mindsets for success in both their lives and professional careers.

Through group coaching, webinars with top leaders, and deep discussions with peers, this virtual fellowship program will expose and teach students the essential tools needed to navigate various professional settings and challenges ahead with the difficult economic landscape. We will explore and instruct on subjects, such as networking, public speaking, team building, online communication, mental resilience, and confidence.

One of the highlights of this six-week program is connecting with successful Korean American leaders from different sectors and regions. Thus, students will learn from trailblazers who have a distinctly Korean American perspective on leadership, career, and the current job market. The program will also dive deep into conversations surrounding Korean American identity. Plus, they have the chance to explore unique and sensitive topics that Korean and Asian Americans often face in the workplace, such as: stereotyping, microaggression, model minority issues, and cultural upbringing.

In addition, the fellows will also have the time to reflect on the hurdles, cultural values, and narratives that frequently hold back our communities. How can these narratives be changed? How can we build greater confidence to move forward toward greater success?
