Digital Content Manager (Information Specialist) (Job Id 13811)

This position will be the department's graphic designer and webmaster, providing support to the Office of the Secretary and the four departmental divisions. The incumbent will layout and design all department publications and design logos, graphics and other visual media for presentations, social media, etc.; be responsible for department's website and oversee a website redesign and overhaul, as well as upkeep and maintain the website; be in charge of maintaining and updating the department's contact management system and intranet; provide logistical support to staff and other state entities for the boards and commissions and administrative rules portal; and will also provide some research support for staff as needed.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 
Applicants with a strong background in graphic design and layout; and website design and upkeep are preferred.
Knowledge of:
  • Adobe Suite programs including InDesign, Dreamweaver and Illustrator;
  • social media strategy;
  • contact management systems.
Skill to:
  • while this position will not require a lot of writing, some writing will be expected.
Ability to:
  • maintain strong organizational systems while managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • strong attention to detail is required;
  • sift through lots of information and synthesize the most relevant pieces.
