POSITION:            Long Term Sub - Social Studies Teacher
 LOCATION:                Nashua High School North
 STARTING:                 On or about March 23, 2020
 SALARY:                    $125 1st 20 days; $175 21st day
 QUALIFICATIONS:    Teaching applicants must be NH certified in Social Studies
                                         
SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Teacher in the Nashua School District is highly qualified for the delivery of specified course content, uses effective strategies for differentiation, interacts positively, professionally, showing respect with students and parents, expects students to learn and not fail, actively engages students in lessons that are planned around grade level expectations and enhance critical thinking skills. Teachers implement instructional strategies that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. The effective teacher inspires and empowers students in their own learning and collaborates with their peers regularly to align curriculum and enhance the instructional environment towards gains in student performance goals. Professional obligations of teachers are met through continuous pursuit of new understanding of teaching and learning, reflection on their own practices and beliefs and through efficient work habits for planning lessons, meeting deadlines and honoring schedules.
