 Position Description:
The intern shall support the MSFC Propulsion Systems Department in technical activities supporting the development and verification of rocket propulsion systems; performing thermal/fluid analysis for both flight and non-flight hardware. 

Job duties include assisting in the development of thermal/fluid analysis tools – specifically the Generalized Fluid System Simulation Program (GFSSP). The intern will develop familiarity with GFSSP, then use the code to model and assess Cryogenic Fluid Management events associated with the testing of the Cryogenic Orbital Testbed (CRYOTE) and other experiments.    

 
Qualifications:
BS degree from an ABET accredited institution in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering and current enrollment in an accredited graduate program with an emphasis on thermal/fluid analysis and test. Knowledge of commercial Finite Element and CAD applications is desired, as well as familiarity with MatLab, Java, Python, or similar analysis tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) is required.
