Premier College Summer Intern Program - Air Force Community Planner

Premier College Intern Program (PCIP) for those with the following degrees:
Community Planning

The Air Force is looking for one Community Planner intern to work with our Installation Engineers at Little Rock Air Force Base.

Air Force Installation Engineers are responsible for the planning, operation, maintenance, construction management, environmental, and engineering of the Air Force’s largest weapon system —its installations.

Civilian Engineers are critical members of our team, providing the diverse expertise and leadership needed to secure our nation’s defense.

The Air Force is providing paid internship opportunities for the summer of 2020 for Juniors that graduate no earlier than December of 2020.  The PCIP assigns you to an Air Force Installation and provides 10 to 12 weeks of employment and exposure to the Air Force Engineering career field.  You will work shoulder to shoulder with current engineers and other professionals including military and civilians. You will make a real contribution to the mission of the United States Air Force (USAF) and gain invaluable real-world experience.

After the internship you will be considered for full time employment after graduation in the PALACE Acquire (PAQ) program. After two or three years of full time employment with the Air Force you can expect to be earning $74,596 to $90,512 depending on location. From there, further advancement is very likely if you are eager, willing to learn, and a hard worker. The PAQ program starts engineers with a Bachelor’s Degree at $47,264 - $51,026 depending on location. Engineer’s with a Master’s degree start at $57,809 - $62,415 depending on location. 
 
Upon successful completion of the PAQ program, you will be outplaced as a mid-level engineer, scientist, or other professional in the Air Force Civilian Workforce. A full-time PAQ intern offer includes a career development plan, competitive salary, annual non-competitive promotions while in the program, student loan repayment plan for undergraduate loans, sign-on bonus, tuition reimbursement/assistance for Master’s degree and all the benefits Federal employees enjoy. 10 paid holidays, 13 pay vacation days (increasing to 26), paid sick leave, flexible schedules at many locations, health insurance plans, retirement plan, and matching Thrift Savings Plan (similar to a 401K)

PCIP Requirements:
US Citizenship
Current student with 90 credit hours by May 2020.
Minimum GPA of 2.95 on a 4.0 grading scale
Available to work at Little Rock Air Force Base
