Community Stabilization Specialist - Phoenix

Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Community Stabilization Specialist - Phoenix. Terros Health’s Community Stabilization Team provide behavioral health, prevention, education and crisis stabilization services. They serve children, adolescents, adults, senior adults and families as well as schools, neighborhoods, organizations and businesses by providing phone, walk-in and in-home crisis counseling to clients to facilitate immediate stabilization of emotions and behavior.  The individual will need to be professional, friendly, a self-starter, organized, and compassionate.

Responsibilities
The Terros Health Community Stabilization Specialist (CSS) provides behavioral health, education and follow up services. The CSS completes an in-person or telephonic post crisis clinical assessment and discusses the client’s progress in the community. Assesses that the crisis is being resolved or coordinates with ongoing crisis providers as needed.  The CSS also provides clinical peer based services that are designed to enhance the quality of recovery and also support connection to ongoing community based treatment.

Shift Hours:
Wednesday - Saturday (10:00 am-8:30 pm) 
 

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health (BH) experience, or an Associate degree in the BH field, or
Bachelor’s degree in BH field, or bachelor’s degree in non-behavioral health field with 1 year minimum of BH experience, or
Master’s degree or higher in behavioral health field.  
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Trained as a Peer Support Worker (certificate required)
Candidates May have at least 1 year of sobriety from alcohol/drugs and/or have at least 1 year of treatment for their diagnosed mental illness.
Must be a peer as identified as someone who is in recovery from alcohol and/or drugs, has been diagnosed with and currently treating a mental illness, or have a co-occurring disorder as defined by a doctor or qualifying assessor.
Must have or obtain a valid Arizona Driver License, be (21 years of age) with a minimum 3 years driving experience. Must meet requirements of Terros driving policy.
Basic computer skills.
Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days of employment
Ability to handle high stress environments and work independently with flexibility in given deadlines.
