UI Developer - Software Engineer
SDL is seeking a mid/senior-level UI software engineer. This position is for the main office in Logan Utah. The emphasis will be on satellite ground systems that will be used by mission and satellite operations teams in various capacities. These are next-generation tools which will be key to the success of mission operations. Candidates should possess a strong background with modern web-based UI languages, specifically HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Experience with a UI framework such as Angular, Vue or React is desired. Other responsibilities include submitting design and code reviews, upholding standard software development processes and writing unit tests.
Candidates must be able to work effectively both independently and with team members. Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
· 2+ years of web UI development
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Strong experience with TypeScript or JavaScript programming languages
· Experience with HTML and CSS
· Experience with a front-end framework
· Experience with front-end unit testing frameworks and/or tools
· Experience with RESTful endpoints
· Experience utilizing design patterns
· Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
· UI design capabilities (good visual eye)
· Familiarity with an object-oriented language (i.e., C++, C#, or Java)
· 5+ years of web UI development
· Ability to travel occasionally
