Under the general supervision of the Internal Operations Section Chief, this position is an administrative contact and technical advisor for the bureau’s electronic licensing and inspection system, the current vendor being HealthSpace. This position requires knowledge in the use of licensing and inspection software programs and the role of information technology on program operations within the Division of Food and Recreational Safety.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting technical end user related problems. This position provides technical assistance and performs technical related work in the day-to-day maintenance of HealthSpace inspection and licensing software. The position requires technical computer skills along with a basic understanding of the food safety inspection process to determine the dynamics of how the inspection component will be implemented in the field by sanitarians.
This position provides technical assistance and support to over 80 field and central office staff as well as 58 local health departments that use the State’s licensing and inspection program. This encompasses support for over 400 individuals from usage issues to troubleshooting licensing, billing, inspection, and installation issues. This position provides occasional training to staff and local health departments. This position is responsible for maintaining system security by managing system user I.D’s.
