Systems Analyst

The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) is the state's largest agency with 7,000 employees working in 86 county offices serving more than one million people. Employees work in 10 major divisions and five support offices to provide services to Arkansas citizens. DHS is currently seeking to fill the position of Systems Analyst in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Responsibilities:
The Systems Analyst is responsible for coordinating the design and/or modification of computer system process activities.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of computer system hardware and software. Knowledge of computer user requirements. Knowledge of system design procedures. Ability to develop computer programs. Ability to analyze and modify existing computer systems. Ability to lead analyst team in the design and maintenance of computer system processes. Ability to determine costs and resource requirements of projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree with a major in computer science, mathematics, or a related field; plus four years of experience in computer programming or a related area, including one year in systems analysis.

Special Work Condition/Preferred Qualifications:  
3-4 Years of management/supervisory experience in state government or IT environment. Knowledge/experience with data analytics, dashboards and use of reporting tools, such as Power Bl or Tableau, as well as an understanding of Windows and Office products. Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize time sensitive tasks/projects. Knowledge/experience with application release lifecycle and project management.

Salary/Benefits:
This position provides a competitive starting salary from $51,761.50 - $75,054.00 depending on qualifications, and excellent benefits including group health and life insurance, state retirement plan, and a tax deferred compensation plan, holidays and annual leave time off.
