PROJECT SUMMARY: We love sharing amazing stories about Veterans and Veteran-centric programs. Help our social media team ensure our pages stay positive by enforcing our Instagram and Facebook comments policy.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Our team manages the main social media channels for the entire Department of Veterans Affairs. We share many informational and inspiring stories about our nation's Veterans. We sometimes get comments on our posts that require some action on our part. These include vulgar comments or slurs, SPAM, personally identifiable information (i.e. social security number) and unfortunately even threats against other people or oneself. You can help us find these comments and take the appropriate action.
Our team uses Salesforce Social Studio to schedule content for our social media channels. You will be given an account on our Salesforce Social Studio platform and will be trained in how to use it in order to review comments on our social content. This will be valuable experience to add to your repertoire and will be a tremendous help to the VA and to Veterans.

Last year, our internship had approximately 120 interns in various departments and leadership positions.
