
JFS Program Manager (1943-12)
Job Duties (Summary):
- Provides effective management and leadership of up to six (6) Safety Conference Facilitators; Reviews existing operations and state requirements for Conference Facilitators, providing analysis; Recommends improvements and implements changes to develop conferences into Safety Conferences; Provides consultation, coaching and direction to direct staff, ensuring competency in safety decision making; Collaborates with staff, Children’s Services Supervisors and Administrators with development and implementation of Safety Conferences to improve practice, safety decision making, efficiency, effectiveness and quality
- Identifies potential problem areas for Children’s Services practice through analyzing data and observation; Assists with development and implementation of Supervisor focused new-hire seminars, targeted skill seminars and development; Develops and provides training, consultation and coaching for Children’s Services Supervisors; Ensures compliance to HCJFS Safety Model; for staff and contract agency staff, as necessary, on the role of child protection, its practices, rules/regulations. Develops and provides in-service training for professional staff of Children’s Services. Remains current with best practices and integrates same into unit’s functions
- Analyzes and evaluates own implementation of Safety Conferences and targeted supervisor development; Evaluates performance of own staff and impact/improvement of supervisors receiving training, coaching and case application; Keeps superior informed of problems, new directions. Facilitates change, new initiatives within unit and Children’s Services to enhance timely and through safety decision making
- Attends necessary approved training as required. Performs other related duties assigned to assist in the agency function.
