Hospitality Operations Manager- Entry-level Manager - Chicago

The primary roles we are looking to fill are:
Front Desk Manager/Supervisor
Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor
Restaurant Manager/Supervisor
Banquet Captain/Manager/Supervisor
Sales Coordinator/Manager
Event Operations Manager/Supervisor- this role is the stepping stone into Event Managers and trains new managers on tasks of "on-the-floor" Event Management.
Operations Managers are responsible for supervision, audit, and control of one of the following departments: Front Desk, Restaurant, Banquets and Housekeeping.

and various Florida locations
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
- 1 year hotel or food & beverage experience, preferably in leadership role.
- Computer literacy and financial management a must- Micros and other hotel operating system knowledge is a plus
- Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers,
- Knowledge of general hotel operations,
- Command of the English language both written and verbal.
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of various food-service styles (plated, buffet, French, Russian, Table-Side, Butler Service) for Food & Beverage Roles
- Solid Microsoft Office applications, administrative, math, accounting, and supervisory skills required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with Guests, Management, Staff and co-workers to their understanding
- Ability to provide legible, written communication
- Knowledge of effective office organizational practices
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Proven computer, administrative, math, accounting, and supervisory skills. Experience working with a variety of commercial food service equipment
- Ability to deal effectively with customers and other company personnel. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, guests or employees.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous service/leadership experience required
- High School Degree/ GED; College degree in Hospitality, Culinary, Communication or Sales preferred
