Satellite Flight Software Engineer
The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking several entry-to-senior level software engineers to develop innovative high-quality solutions to support customers in various small satellite programs.
Responsibilities will include:
· Developing and testing embedded space flight software
· Supporting spacecraft component integration and test
· Preparing of satellites for launch
· Supporting the software development and integration for mission planning, spacecraft operation, and data processing systems
Required Qualifications:
· BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or other related technical field
· Demonstrated ability to follow a rigorous software development processes including analysis, design, testing, peer review, and continuous integration techniques
· Work effectively both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams
· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
· Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
· Must be a US citizen
· Must be able to travel on occasion
Desired Qualifications:
· Familiarity with real-time systems, Linux, VxWorks, driver development, network programming, and concurrency
· Embedded software development and hardware interfacing/control
