Salary Range: $33,132 to $42,900 annually, dependent on education/experience

The Parent Child Center (PCC) is a licensed child care program, an early learning lab, and the home of Shoreline Community College's youngest learners. The program serves Shoreline Community College students, staff, and faculty; as well as some community members. More information on the program can be found at www.shoreline.edu/parentchildcenter.
 
Under general direction, the Program Coordinator uses knowledge and experience specific to the early learning program to perform work. Typical duties include advising staff, parents, and the public regarding the early learning program content, policies, procedures, and activities; and having extensive involvement with staff, parents, and the public and/ or agencies in carrying out program activities in line with program goals.
 
Essential Job Duties:
·        Composes program correspondence and printed materials
·        Assists with enrollment, waitlists, billing and payments
·        Supports children's attendance, progress, and retention; redirect students to services
·        Assists with budget tracking and reconciliation
·        Maintains classroom material and office supply inventory; processes approved purchases and work orders
·        Maintains records and files; including child medication, immunizations, and health records
·        Perform duties of an Early Childhood Program Specialist 1 (classroom aide) as needed
·        Other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
·        High school degree OR equivalent
·        Two (2) years of experience in the early learning field OR equivalent education/experience

KNOWLEDGE OF:
·        Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
·        College, state and federal laws and guidelines related to child care and early learning programs

SKILL IN:
·        Contributing to diversity by fostering a climate of multicultural understanding and awareness
·        Establishing workflow priorities to meet demands of the early learning program
·        Ability to switch frequently between tasks, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
·        Effective oral and written communication to a variety of diverse audiences
