Event Merchandising Internship
Little League International is seeking qualified, well-rounded rising junior or seniors to join Little League’s merchandise team during the Summer of 2019 at Headquarters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
This part-time temporary seasonal internship helps support and assist the Merchandise Department in various areas of retail merchandising and system support for the Little League Baseball® World Series. Successful candidates will aid with customer service, product displays, merchandising, scheduling, and inventory control to help maximize retail sales, revenues and operational efficiencies while assuring a quality fan and customer experience.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Assist with all aspects of retail including sales, inventory reports, product displays and planograms
- Support and assist with merchandise and inventory at the Little League Baseball World Series complex
- Assist the Merchandise Department with customer service calls and inquiries with retail and web customers
- Collaborate with merchandising team to set-up and create in-store displays
- Assist with daily operations, sales, recovery and fulfillment at the 2018 Little League Baseball World Series
Position Requirements:
- Education
- Must be enrolled in a College or University
- Major in merchandising, marketing, hospitality, retail management, business operations or similar field
- Knowledge & Experience
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks or projects
- Ability to work well independently within a team and service oriented environment
- Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in an office/retail/warehouse setting; Experience in retail preferred
- Proficient computer skills with ability to use MS Office tools, especially Excel and Point of Sale System.

Working Conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional weekends and evenings
- Physical ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Ability to perform the following actions: lifting, reaching, stooping, standing, bending, crouching, walking
- Ability to work hours 9am-5PM, Three-five days per week from May through August 2018
