Gas Operations Manager - Retail Services

Professional, administrative, supervisory and technical work of a difficult and highly responsible nature managing the operations of Clearwater Gas System (CGS) in the areas of Natural & Propane Gas Supply, permitting and inspection, Service & Repair, business process flows and the Installation of Gas Piping in New & Existing facilities. Work is performed under the general direction of the Gas System Assistant Director with considerable latitude for independent judgment, discretion, decision as to detail and initiative in carrying out daily operations, and is reviewed based on conferences, reports, observation and evaluation of results achieved.
  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  Plans, develops and manages the assigned operational areas in the Installation, Service & Repair and Propane sections of CGS. Also responsible for the development and maintaining of business process work flows for all sections of CGS, to include computer software solutions. Evaluates profitability of individual retail sections and provides recommendations to Gas Director and Assistant Director on any proposed changes. Answers citizen complaints and inquiries, prepares reports, assists in developing work procedures for field personnel and maintains the department standby list for employees assigned to handle after hours emergencies and the drug testing list for covered employees. Represents CGS at Florida Natural Gas Association meetings. Manages facility buildings and operations yards, fleet, and 3rd party damage program with Risk Management and the Legal Department. Coordinates CGS emergency management, operations & employee meetings. Performs related tasks as assigned
 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field based on area of assignment. Five (5) years of professional level experience in the field of gas supply & distribution or gas service & maintenance to include two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in gas operations. Any equivalent combination of education, training or experience. This position is expected to obtain a Natural Gas Contractor License, and be the primary license holder for obtaining permits within the first 12 months of employment as Operations Manager.
