Meyer is seeking ambitious, motivated students for a number of internship opportunities.

At Meyer, a hospitality internship provides a backstage pass to the inner workings of how Meyer provides exceptional customer service and builds lifetime relationships with our customers and communities.

This is your opportunity to learn from the vacation rental industry leader; Meyer manages more than half a billion dollars in real estate along the Gulf Coast! Internship positions are available through our Guest Services Department in roles such as Guest Relations Representative, Support Coordinator, Housekeeping Inspector, and Property Caretaker. Exposure to other departments within the company (i.e. Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, IT) is available through various events.

The duration of the internship is May through August. Student housing assistance, including utilities and Wi-Fi, is available for this program. Interns are paid a competitive hourly rate. Transportation is not provided for this program, so all selected students must have reliable transportation to and from work assignments.

Essential Job Functions & Requirements*
·        Demonstrate leadership, team-building and customer service skills
·        Provide travel information and/or property information to guests
·        Resolve guest and/or owner issues in a timely and professional manner
·        Meet and greet guests and/or owners with a big smile and positive attitude
·        Understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions/procedures
·        Exhibit a clear, concise and professional phone manner
·        Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Exhibit a professional communication style, both orally and in writing.
·        Present an excellent work ethic; be prompt and appropriately dressed; and be prepared for the workday
• Possess conflict management strategies
• Coach housekeeping staff on maintaining Meyer Standards.
• Participate in training activities in guest relations, housekeeping, STARR laundry and warehouse departments.
• Cope with work-related stress due to tight deadlines and ever increasing demands

Job Duties Include, but Not Limited To*
·        Answer phones
·        Solve guest issues/recovery
·        Process payments
·        Assist with office duties as needed
·        Check guests in and out
·        Make express deliveries
·        Prepare for VIP arrivals
·        Prepare property for guest arrival
·        Housekeeping
·        Utilize quality assurance applications

Snapshot Of An Ideal Candidate*
·        Be 18 years of age or older
·        Be actively enrolled in a post-secondary institution of learning
·        Be legally eligible to work in the United States
·        Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance
·        Be able to speak, read and write English
·        Has a desire to learn and grow in hospitality industry operations
·        Has previous hospitality experience (not a requirement)
·        Be able to work a full-time schedule
·        Be able to abide by appearance standards
·        Be able to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
