Solutions Architect (Information Systems Specialist 7)

IN TECH-SAVVY TERMS
You will be responsible for building a variety of web applications and services. For example, and among other duties, you will:
  • Develop or modify code to support changed or re-engineered business processes;
  • Diagnose and respond to information system failures;
  • Collaborate with vendors regarding system problems and resolve or escalate as needed;
  • Monitor and evaluate application performance and implement modifications, adjustments, and enhancements as needed;
  • Help junior-level developers diagnose and solve system related problems; and,
  • Provide expertise and leadership in all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

Six (6) years of information systems experience to include software development, implementation, or support in a C# .NET environment. 

OR
 
A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND information systems experience to include C# .NET development. If using a combination of education and experience to qualify, show in your application one of the following required combinations: Bachelor's plus two (2) year experience, Associate's plus four (4) years' experience, two-year accredited vocational training plus four (4) years' experience, or Master's.  
 

Work experience is based on a 40 hour work week. (Example: 20 hours a week for one year would equal six-months of work experience.) Work history should include C# .NET experience.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Our best candidates will be able to show demonstrated experience in the following:
  • SQL databases;
  • Coding in Java;
  • Designing/architecting large and complex systems;
  • Service-oriented architecture;
  • Microsoft technologies 
  • Team Foundation Services
  • .NET Core
  • Entity Framework
  • MVC
  • JavaScript Frameworks (e.g., jQuery);
  • Managing multiple and competing tasks/projects;
  • Customer service skills, including the ability to articulate, written and spoken, technical information to a variety of customers with varying level of technical expertise in a professional and supportive manner.
