Business Development Associate

ZL Technologies (a Silicon Valley-based company) is looking for high-caliber associates to join our team in a variety of functions, including, but not limited to:

Your job may include a mix of the following functions:
 
Product Marketing
Responsibilities in Marketing could include:
  • Developing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy,
  • Writing and creating content such as thought leadership articles, marketing collateral (i.e. customer case-studies, whitepapers, data sheets)
  • Managing outbound email marketing campaigns
  • Planning and executing ZL’s strategy at Industry Conference & Trade Shows
  • Gathering and analyzing competitive intelligence + defining product differentiation for industry analysts. 

Please note that our Marketing is NOT focused on Data Analysis, nor do we need help in Social Media marketing. We are a low-volume, but very high-value sales environment, which means there is not a big need for doing market analysis. Our marketing associates focus much more on writing content and product positioning. 

Business Development and Sales
Responsibilities in Business Development include:

  • Identify potential companies for ZL to form partnerships or strategic alliances
  • Reach out to key decision makers at potential partners/customers to introduce ZL Technologies platform
  • Qualify opportunities at target accounts and target partners to determine which opportunities are worth pursing
  • Represent ZL Technologies at industry Trade Shows, Conferences, and other networking events 

Project Management
Responsibilities in Project Management include:

  • Work with ZL Technologies’ clients and internal teams at ZL Technologies during the client’s “onboarding” phase, to ensure program goals are met
  • Ensure successful execution of key priorities and projects within the account
  • Drive strategic and operational decisions, as well as the account’s stakeholders, to the adequate execution of the account’s projects
  • Communicating with both the IT and the Business organizations within the client to develop strategic program and project goals
  • Building and keeping track of the program level task tracking, and ensure risk and issues are being tracked and mitigated/resolved
  • Communicating the progress of the projects within the internal organization and escalating issues when needed


Systems Analyst/Architect and Sales Engineering
Responsibilities in Systems Analyst/Architect and Sales Engineering include:
  • Training customers on how to effectively use both basic and advanced features of the product
  • Solving and/or escalating any technical bugs or issues reported by customers to the proper parties
  • Mastery of product features and UI in order to help customers
  • Guiding demos and technical aspects of sales calls
  • Assisting customer end-users navigate technical documentation
  • Helping to stress-test the product before software releases are made available to customers
