U1800066 - Inclusive Excellence Workforce Administrative Specialist (UBF) - Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

Position Summary:
The Office of Inclusion and Cultural Enhancement, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, at the University at Buffalo seeks an Inclusive Excellence Workforce Administrative Specialist.

The overall goal of the position is to manage several projects related to the office goals, among which are “to coordinate efforts, implement policies, and develop programs to attract, integrate, and engage a diverse community of faculty, residents, students, staff and health care professionals” and “to promote inclusion and to catalyze cultural changes as a means to achieve excellence.”

Highlights of the position include:
•Assisting the Senior Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion in all tasks related to the Office of Inclusion towards to promote inclusion, to catalyze cultural changes and to develop a diverse workforce to support excellence in health care.
•Diversity and Inclusion Advocates: Serve as liaison, calling meetings and preparing materials for such events.
•Reporting: Collect and analyze demographics data for Medical Students admissions, faculty, medical residents, graduate students and senior administrative staff and communicate and support departments in collection of diversity and inclusion data as well as maintenance of the online data base. Compiling the annual report for the Jacobs School Dean as needed.
•Composing, editing, and formatting office correspondence. Creating brochures and promotional materials. Managing office website through content management system.
•Diversity Strategic Plan: Coordinate, organize and actively participate in the development, completion and maintenance of the Diversity Strategic Plan.

Salary Range – $40,000 – $55,000
