Valencia College is now hiring a Culinary Arts Laboratory Assistant II (Part-Time) to join the Culinary Arts PNC team.
In this role you will be responsible for working under the direction of Faculty and Campus Labs Supervisors. Typical duties will include:
- Preparation of labs: Lab and material setup, prepping and measuring of ingredients, and any other duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the culinary labs
- Inventory: Tracking and maintaining accurate inventory for culinary arts program; providing recommendations to chef or lab supervisor of stock issues, depleted or unsuitable products
- In class assistance: Providing non-instructional assistance to chef or lab supervisor during lab hours

The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-2 years of industry level experience in culinary management or restaurant operations
- Academic coursework in culinary arts of management
- A state approved sanitation certification (i.e. ServSafe)

Salary: $12.57 per hour
Availability: Monday through Wednesday, some Thursdays and Fridays; 20-25 hours a week
