Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction
Cabinet level position, reports to the Superintendent of Schools. SDA/SDL certification required. Successful experience as a central office and/or building level administrator preferred. Must possess effective communications and management skills, a strong work ethic, and be able to provide expert leadership in the following areas:
- The coordination, implementation and evaluation of all District curriculum and instructional support programs, State Learning Standards, State performance standards, grants and grant funded programs.
- Knowledge of best practices in curriculum , instruction, assessment and data analysis.
- Experience in supervision, evaluation and professional development for administrators and teachers
- Knowledge and experience in the recruitment and hiring of instructional staff.
