Health Research Analyst (Health Statistician)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking Healthcare Research Analysts with experience in conducting literature reviews, doing policy/data analyses, and summarizing results in writing.

CMS is looking for someone with a strong research background who can quickly and comprehensively grasp a project vision, read and synthesize technical materials, dive into data, use basic statistical methods, and tell a coherent and interesting story with the results. This position requires a significant amount of writing, so you must be comfortable with independently writing research papers. You should be sharp, able to pick up on complex and advanced material quickly, and thrive in a collaborative and demanding environment.

Want to stop bad guys from fleecing the government? Then, this is the career for you! CMS is at the cutting edge of stopping fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid. CMS collects a treasure trove of data to evaluate how much money it saves from its work to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. This data also allows CMS to critically evaluate its programs and make recommendations for improvement. You would be joining a high-performing team where there is a culture of cooperation, excellence, and camaraderie.
