Assistant Scientist - Vaccine Sciences Team (Bioanalytical Labs)

Responsibilities for the Assistant Scientist may include:

  • Possesses a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and can reliably conduct complex analysis with increased independence.
  • Performs a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices.
  • Follows validated or experimental analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision.
  • Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications.
  • Enters data into databases and reports.
  • Performs self-review for own data prior to QC submission.
The Assistant Scientist is expected to follow validated or experimental bioanalytical procedures, to perform assays and support pharmaceutical product development, testing and evaluation in a GLP regulatory lab environment.
The Assistant Scientist will work both independently and in a team setting with occasional direct supervision from a group leader.  In addition, the Assistant Scientist is responsible for the review and compilation of results, use of reporting software and review of SOP's.
