Medical Examiner Specialist

This posting is for two positions.

Employee will assist investigators in external examination of decedents including documentation of personal effects/evidence received and physically moving the decedent so the investigator can conduct a full exam; dispose of medical waster in an appropriate manner and store the body; coordinate the release of the body with the funeral home or body transport agency; assist with photographing the body; removing; inventorying and storing the decedent's personal belongings (clothing, etc.); and collecting and inventorying other physical evidence (ligatures, etc.)

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in science (biology, chemistry, physiology, criminal justice, anthropology, forensic sciences, biochemistry, etc.) or related field from an appropriately accredited institution
