IT Service Desk Intern
Job Duties:
The IT Service Desk Intern will perform the following duties:
- Assist users with various hardware and software related issues.
- Provide the ultimate professionalism and customer service to all users.
- Respond to telephone calls and email requests for technical support.
- Document, track, and monitor all problems to ensure a timely resolution.
Required Qualifications:
· Degree program(s) / Current Status: Senior level or undergraduate pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related field. Recent graduates may also apply.
· Cumulative GPA: 3.0 preferred; 2.8 minimum cumulative GPA.
· Relevant Experience: Customer service experience is preferred. Technical work experience is a plus.
Other Qualifications:
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Must be able to think analytically and present ideas professionally.
- Self-motivated, adaptable to a changing work environment and team-oriented.
- Must maintain complete confidentiality of information encountered.
- Current students must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during their Spring and Fall semesters and 30 – 40 hours per week during the Summer. Recent graduates must be able to work 30 - 40 hours per week year round.
- Must be able to commute to/provide your own housing in Baton Rouge, LA.
