Outreach Specialist
The Family Tree, Information, Education and Counseling Center in Lafayette, LA seeks an Outreach Specialist for its nationally recognized Healthy Start Program. Due to a five year extension grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service, services have been extended to include Evangeline, Acadia, Lafayette, St. Martin, St. Landry and Iberville Parishes. One position is open for an experienced and passionate individual with the ability to service clients in Lafayette and surrounding parishes. Healthy Start has a history of reducing infant mortality through strength based and home based approaches. The Family Tree seeks individuals with a strong initiative and a proven record of achieving outcomes with clients. You will receive excellent training and development, including monthly trainings, supervision, and peer support.
High School Diploma Required. BSW or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology or any other closely related field prefered. Good communication skills and be culturally sensitive to the population we serve. Only outstanding candidates with a great work ethic and a belief in exemplary practice need apply.
